the next lap

My daughter has been a handful these recent months. Since the day she learnt to crawl and stand (all within a few days apart), she is all over the place. She has been from my room, where she sleeps, to my mil's room, kitchen, brothers' room and lastly the living room- all in a day's work. There's always something that fascinates her in each room. My room -- the green door stopper, my mil's room -- the ironing board, the kitchen -- the high chair, the living room-- the little pottery vase at the tv console and her brothers' room -- the stacks of papers. Those are her favourite haunts each and every day. It's like she tells herself "Every morning, my task for the day-- visit my favourite places. "

Humairah is now so fun to play with. Her chuckles when I tickled her, her laughter when I played peek-a-boo with her is enough to wash away all the fatigue from my body. I recently found out that she will also burst out into her laughter with me just simply laughing (with no apparent reason) while carrying her. Ahh, my daughter, god's gift to me 10 years after her brother, Hidayat. :)

She had her first hair cut yesterday. I got my sis-in-law to cut her fringe. That settled, there's something that needs to be done for the rest of her hair; which is not a lot by the way.
